As the principal user of nature, humanity is responsible for ensuring that its environmental impacts are benign rather than catastrophic. The Environmental systems are vital to the human race and to all living organisms. Without the systems in place and working, we would all cease to exist. Rivers and streams are an example, if the system of this were not to work, then the whole system would collapse. Proper environmental management is the key to avoiding a quarter of all preventable illnesses that are directly caused by environmental factors. The environment influences our health in many ways – due to exposures to physical, chemical and biological risk factors, or through related changes in our behavior in response to those factors. Each year, thirteen million deaths are due to preventable environmental causes. Preventing environmental risk can save as many as four million lives a year, predominantly in developing countries, among children aged less than 15 years. We offer research and studies on use and conservation of natural resources, protection of habitats and control of hazards.
In most cases, the introduction of an environmental management system results in a lot of cost savings and reduction of environmental liability. Taking into consideration the cooperation with industry, government, research institutes and communities, Global Excellence sustainably works to provide optimized solutions that balance the economic development and environmental considerations for the benefit of the larger community. Our optimized solutions achieve environmental responsibility, social equity and economic efficiency in all phases of the project life cycle. Global Excellence provides a wide range of integrated and competitive quality services in the field of environment. These services include, but are not limited to the following:
Air Quality, Acoustics and Vibration including air dispersion modelling, air quality impact assessment, characterization of emission sources, indoor air quality assessment & characterization and dispersion of odours, noise monitoring (sound pressure level, worker exposure, intensity), evaluation of noise control alternatives & associated costs and compliance analysis to applicable standards. and vibration impact (annoyance, building integrity) and seismic measurement (blasting)
Environmental Risk Managementincluding Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessment & field data acquisition, remediation planning, design & implementation, conservation & management planning, environmental & compliance monitoring and atmospheric dispersion studies
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) & Emissions Reduction including assisting different clients to benefit the United Nations' Kyoto Protocol (KP), Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Certified Emissions Reductions (CERs carbon credit) in their emission reduction projects like Fertilizer Industry (nitrous oxide abatement), Cement Industry (waste heat recovery, alternative blends & fuel switching), Oil & Petrochemical Industry (flare gas reduction, gas recovery & utilization, efficiency improvement, crude pre-heating), Fuel Switching (from a high carbon fuel e.g. diesel oil to a low carbon fuel e.g. natural gas), Agriculture (bio-methane avoidance & use of bio-fuel), Waste to Power (using different waste to generate power) & Renewable Energy (wind, solar & biomass), Clean Development Mechanism/Joint Implementation (CDM/JI) projects design & implementation and Energy & Industrial Process Development Studies
Social and Environmental Impact Assessmentincluding predicting, identifying, evaluating & mitigating the environmental, social & other relevant effects of projects; the EIA studies are performed in full compliance with the local and international standards, regulations and guidelines (e.g. ISO 14000 series), baseline studies, management & monitoring programs and policy & process analysis & compliance
Waste Management and Pollution Preventionincluding waste management planning & development strategies, 3Rs (reduce, reuse & recycle) planning & facility development and process improvement to minimize waste & pollution for existing and new projects
Water Resources Management including water conservation techniques & wastewater reuse, water resources assessment and preparation of master plans, hydrological studies and groundwater potential assessment, groundwater development for water supply and irrigation, groundwater development for water supply and irrigation and water & wastewater treatment and process optimization
Environmental Policy, Certification and Management Systems including assisting different entities establishing an environmental policy, offering the advice to clients on the most appropriate environmental certification for their business, performing the necessary studies & consultations to obtain the certification (e.g. ISO 14000) beside helping them maximize the benefits of that certification and preparing environmental management systems
Environmental Training and Awarenessincluding training courses & programs, seminars, forums, workshops and publications
